Refund Policy

Summary
Cancel at least 24 hours before your lesson for a full refund. Disputes are reviewed within 3 business days. Contact billing@hanyulab.com for any billing questions.
1. Lesson Cancellation by Learner
Full refund to your original payment method. No questions asked.
50% refund. The remaining 50% is paid to the tutor to compensate for lost preparation time.
No refund. The full lesson fee is paid to the tutor.
2. Lesson Cancellation by Tutor
If your tutor cancels a lesson with less than 24 hours' notice, you are entitled to a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost. We will also flag the cancellation in the tutor's record.
3. No-Show Policy
If a learner does not attend a lesson and does not cancel in advance, no refund will be issued. If a tutor does not appear for a scheduled lesson, the learner will receive a full refund automatically within 5 business days.
4. Disputed Lessons
If you believe a lesson did not meet a reasonable standard of quality, you may raise a dispute within 48 hours of the lesson ending. To open a dispute:
- Email billing@hanyulab.com with the subject "Lesson Dispute"
- Include your booking ID, the tutor's name, and a brief description of the issue
- We will review your request within 3 business days and contact both parties
Dispute outcomes may include a partial refund, full refund, or credit toward a future lesson, at HanyuLab's discretion.
5. Subscription and Platform Fees
If HanyuLab introduces subscription plans in the future, monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time and will not auto-renew after the cancellation date. Refunds for partial subscription periods are not provided unless required by law.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout. Processing times depend on your bank or card provider — typically 5–10 business days. HanyuLab has no control over your bank's processing speed.
